🟢GIANTS IN THE CLASSROOM🟢 Kindergarten had their annual Gingerbread Day. First, they went on a hunt to find the Gingerbread Man- who they finally caught after an exciting hunt around the school. They had gingerbread cookies and got to participate in different gingerbread activities throughout the day. Kindergarten students (and teachers) enjoyed making memories that will last forever! #TheSAGSway

🟢GIANTS IN THE CLASSROOM🟢 Another I-Kan STEAM Challenge post, this time with Mrs. Abrassart's 4th grade students! Four of Mrs. Abrassart's 4th grade students attended the I-Kan STEAM Challenge. This competitive event allowed students to display their knowledge of science, technology, engineering, art and math, while using their problem-solving skills. This incredible team came away with 1st place in the 3rd and 4th grade division!! Way to go, 4th graders!!! #TheSAGSway

🎄 Holiday Movie Magic at the I-KAN STEAM Challenge! 🎬✨ On December 3rd, Mrs. Musterman and Ms. Goodrich took their 5th and 6th grade teams to the I-KAN STEAM Challenge in Ashkum. This year’s theme was Holiday Movie Magic, and our students truly rose to the occasion! Throughout the day, teams worked together to: 🚂 Build a bridge strong enough for the Polar Express to cross over ice 🧰 Design a creative trap inspired by Home Alone 📱 Create an advertisement for an app that spreads holiday cheer like in Elf ➗ Complete a challenging math portion Our students showed amazing teamwork, creativity, and problem-solving skills. They worked so hard and put so much effort into every part of the challenge. We are so proud of their effort, enthusiasm, and the way they represented our school! ❤️💛 Great job, teams! 👏👏 #TheSAGSway

Holiday Ornament Gram sales are this Monday through Friday during lunch times!! They may be sent to anyone in the building or even bus drivers! Extra order forms may be picked up from Ms. Kelly or in the front office.

Congratulations once again to these incredible young ladies for earning Judge’s Choice Awards on top of receiving 1st place ratings for their speeches in November!

Each judge may choose just one performance as their favorite of the entire day, making this recognition a very special honor.

These talented students earned one Judge’s Choice for their quintet performed by Annabelle Mailloux, Lexi Michels, Hadley Kirkland, Emma McFatridge, and Willa Benjamin, and another for the duet performed by Willa Benjamin and Annabelle Mailloux!

Way to go, ladies! Ms. Kelly and SAGS are soooooo proud of you!

Community Members, St. Anne Unit District #24 needs your help!

We are asking any community member that does NOT have a child in the district, but lives in the District #24 boundaries, to complete the survey in the memo below. This survey will provide feedback to the district to help us continue to provide the best possible educational experience for the students of our community.

Parents of District #24 students should have received an email with a separate Parent Survey. If you have not received that email, please reach out to your child's school and we will ensure you receive the Parent Survey.

Our goal is to collect feedback from all of our stakeholders; Parents, Community Members, Staff, and Students. The feedback will allow us to carefully develop a district-wide strategic plan to ensure continued future success within District#24.

🟢GIANTS IN THE CLASSROOM🟢 In Mrs. McDaniel's 5th Grade ELA classes, students spent Unit 2 learning about early American civilizations. The students specifically learned about the Maya, Aztec, and Inca. Then, they chose to either study the farming, social classes, or architecture of those civilizations. They ended the unit by creating a codex project to showcase everything they researched and learned about these ancient cultures and ways of life. #TheSAGSway

🟢GIANTS IN THE CLASSROOM🟢 Dr. Carter's 7th graders read with Mrs. Vallejo's 4th graders. They were able to by a cozy fire, courtesy of a little Chromebook magic and imagination. #TheSAGSway

Another successful Family Literacy Night!! Thank you to everyone who came out and enjoyed a night of family reading fun! We hope you enjoyed it as much as we did. Tonight is the Night!! SAGS will be hosting our annual PreK-4th Grade Family Literacy Night from 4:30-6:30 this evening. Bring the family out for a night of reading fun!!

Giants girls basketball advances into the Milford regional semifinals and will play the host Bats at 6:45 pm tonight! Giants boys basketball continues Kan-Will Conference action with a home matchup with Beecher! 7th grade begins at 4:30 pm and 8th grade follows. #GoGiants

Giants 8th grade girls basketball begins regional action tonight with a quarterfinal matchup against Donovan at Milford! The game will tip off at approximately 7:30 pm. #GoGiants

It’s time for our next D.E.A.R. Event - Rockin’ Around the Christmas Tree! On Wednesday, December 3rd, students and staff are encouraged to make plans to rock out your Christmas look with a pair of shades and your favorite book. Also, on Wednesday, December 3rd, SAGS will be hosting our annual PreK-4th Grade Family Literacy Night from 4:30-6:30. Mark your calendars and join us for a night of family reading fun!

SAGS Picture Retake Day is Tuesday, December 2nd! If you child is new to the district after October 7th or if they were absent on that day, they will have their picture taken. Also, if you are unhappy with your child's picture, please return the packet you ordered and they will have their picture taken.
