🟢GIANTS IN THE CLASSROOM🟢 The 4th graders in Mrs. Vallejo's ELA classes ate like serfs from the Middle Ages today! Most meals for serfs, farmers and their families who worked for lords and nobles, consisted of bread (often rye) and water. #TheSAGSway

As we begin the search for our next Head Varsity Boys Basketball Coach, we recognize and thank longtime Hall of Fame Coach Rick Schoon. A professional career change has led to Coach Schoon being unable to continue in this role, but his dedication, leadership, and lasting impact on generations of Cardinal student-athletes will remain an important part of St. Anne basketball.

We are seeking a coach who will build on that proud tradition while developing our student-athletes’ skills, character, teamwork, and commitment to excellence—on the court and in the classroom.

Join us in thanking Coach Schoon for his years of service and share this opportunity with anyone ready to help lead the next chapter of Cardinal basketball!

On Wednesday, October 7, 2026 we will continue our next D.E.A.R. event by hosting Fall into a Good Book! The students and staff will Drop Everything And Read while dressed in their fall favorites. Think, fall-colored sweaters, hoodies, flannels, and puffy vests! Grab your autumn “fits”and prepare to Fall into a Good Book as we celebrate reading!

🟢GIANTS IN THE CLASSROOM🟢 We had some wiggly visitors in science last week in Ms. Goodrich's 5th grade classes! 🪱🔬 We are learning about decomposers and the important role earthworms play in our ecosystem. Years ago, people thought worms were harmful to gardens, but Charles Darwin studied them and discovered just how HELPFUL they are! Our students became scientists themselves, observing how worms move and where they choose to go. We learned that worms break down dead material, loosen and aerate the soil as they tunnel, and leave behind nutrient-rich castings (worm poop! ) that help plants grow. Who knew such a little creature could do so much for our soil? 🪱🌱 #GoGiants

SAGS just completed their fall pacer test for grades 3-8. Students did an amazing job and we had one student break the 100 mark. Congratulations to Aydan Cintora on getting 101! The pacer test is a multi-stage aerobic fitness test used to measure cardiovascular endurance and aerobic capacity. #TheSAGSway

Mrs. Schneider’s Kindergarten class learned all about apples and the life cycle last week. To end the week, they got to do an apple taste test! Red was the class favorite!
