Last week K-2 students at SAGS finished up a Winter Olympics unit. Students explored Olympic sports such as Alpine Skiing, Speed Skating, Curling, Ice Hockey and Bobsled. With each sport, students learned what that sport is, key skills associated with that sport and also a fun fact about that sport.

Great news! The power has been restored in St. Anne, and St. Anne Unit District 24 plans on being in session on Thursday, March 12, 2026. If for some reason there are any power outage issues between now and then, we will communicate as soon as possible.

This is an important message from St. Anne Unit District 24.
Due to the continued power outage impacting St. Anne Grade School and St. Anne Community High School along with our surrounding communities following the recent storm, and out of an abundance of caution for the safety of our students, staff, and families, school will be closed today. Also, the Strategic Planning Stakeholder Meeting scheduled for tonight will be postponed and rescheduled for a later date.
At this time, we anticipate reopening tomorrow, Thursday, March 12, assuming power is restored and our buildings are fully operational. We will continue to monitor the situation closely and provide updates if anything changes.

dress up as a visual pun or a “literal” interpretation of a book title. You will
become a walking riddle for others to guess the book title you represent.
Keep it school-appropriate! Please encourage your child to participate to
help us celebrate a love for reading!

The little free library is restocked and ready to go! NJHS students added springtime favorites, including a graphic novel called "Rabbit Chase" and a book about "Ronald Reagan," to celebrate Presidents' Day. Plus, who doesn't love a classic Dr. Seuss! Visit our library.

Students in grades 3-5 participated in Valentine’s Day rotations. Each intermediate teacher led a different activity and the classes rotated around and did all kinds of fun things! Students colored Valentine’s pictures, played several different games, made scratch art book marks, and more!

Random Acts of Kindness Week is next week!!! SAGS will be celebrating with dress up days and Kindness Rocks that Student Council members painted and will hide throughout the school every day. The kids that find them will win a $5.00 gift card to Casey's! What will be your random act of kindness?? Thursday is also spring picture day. If you planned on purchasing pictures, please can send in an outfit for your child to change into prior to their picture!
St. Anne Grade School competed at the Momence Math Contest. The 6th-grade pairs team earned 2nd place, and the 6th-grade team drill earned 3rd place. Tyler, Lexi, August, and Kendall competed on the pair drill. Dylan, Gabe, Lexi, Tyler, and August were on the team drill. Congratulations!
