
A Family that reads together, grows together. Family Literacy Night was once again a huge success thanks to all the efforts of the SAGS reading committee, SAGS PTO, and many volunteers. A Giant thank you as well to all the families that attended. We look forward to next year.










Yesterday the 5th grade steam team attended and competed in the IKAN STEAM. The students worked diligently on challenges to design, create, build, problem-solve, and present an advertisement. The challenges included making a working snowplow, building a roof that would protect a house against winter weather, creating a product that would make winter weather easier, and math problem-solving. We are very proud of our 5th grade Giants!!

The 3rd and 4th grade STEAM teams attended and competed in the I-KAN STEAM challenge yesterday. The students worked hard on 4 different challenges focusing on winter weather that incorporated building models, creating an advertisement, and math challenge problems. GO GIANTS!!

Students and Staff were welcomed back today to a SAGS Winter Wonderland. A GIANT thank you to everyone who donated milk jugs, including The Mill in St. Anne, The Well in Manteno, and Folklore in Lemont!! This project would not have been possible without the true dedication and commitment of individuals who care so much about SAGS. Thank you!

It’s time for our next D.E.A.R. Event - How The Grinch Stole SAGS Family Literacy Night! On Wednesday, December 4th dress up as your favorite character from The Grinch and help us celebrate reading at SAGS. Also, on Wednesday, December 4th, SAGS will host our annual PreK-4th Grade Family Literacy Night from 4:30-6:30. Mark your calendars and join us for a night of family reading fun!


Happy Thanksgiving from everyone at SAGS, especially the 3rd Grade, where Mrs. Bjelke and Mrs. Kirkland worked collaboratively to incorporate math, writing, history, and art into an engaging Macy’s Thanksgiving Day parade project!

Mrs. Schneider’s Kindergarten class celebrated Thanksgiving last Friday with a Thanksgiving Feast. Students talked about what they were thankful for and got to enjoy a meal with a family member.

SAGS Annual Food Drive finished up last Friday! In 3rd place was 2nd Grade winning a root beer float party. 2nd place goes to Preschool and they will enjoy ice cream sundaes. The 1st place award of a pizza and pop party goes to 4th grade! All prizes will be graciously provided by St. Anne Food Pantry. Thanks to all for making this year another awesome year of food donations!
