Ms. Goodrich's 5th grade science class investigated if air has weight. In the activity, Weighing Air, students blew up balloons and placed them on both sides of a large balance scale constructed from a yardstick. Then, students let the air out of all the balloons on one side of the balance to directly observe that air has weight.

Baseball and softball host Manteno this afternoon at the high school fields. Both will have JV after varsity.

Giants baseball and softball will host the Tigers of Limestone this afternoon. Softball will be varsity and JV.

Mrs. Abrassart’s 4th grade science students became inventors last week. Students brainstormed together and created paper parachutes.
