Mrs. Vallejo's 4th grade Reading Classes performed a radio play for their peers. They were in charge of all aspects of the production, including dialogue, technology, music, and sound effects. They did a wonderful job!

AG in the Classroom visited Mrs. Abrassart's 4th grade classroom recently. 4th graders are learning the important role of our local farmers. Students dissected a kernel of corn, while learning how many products are made from corn.

SAGS has started Book Buddies!
Once a month each of the junior high classes goes to the preschool, kindergarten, first, or second grade classrooms to read with the little Giants. They often get partnered with a sibling, cousin, or even a neighbor. It is just as fun for junior high students as it is for the little ones!

Ms. Goodrich's 5th grade science classes are studying chemical reactions. In the activity, Test Like An Alchemist, students tested liquids to see which ones would clean the tarnish off a penny. Then, when one penny changed from dark and dirty to bright and shiny with salt and vinegar, they had a chance to think about where the tarnish went.

1st Quarter "Smart Action" recipients were honored this morning for going above and beyond the SAGS expectations of Respect, Responsibility, and Doing their Best. Bravo GIANTS!!
At last night's Board of Education meeting, the school board honored the Elite 8 Boy's Baseball team from this fall. St. Anne Unit District #24 and SAGS are extremely proud of your accomplishments this season. GIANT Proud!
This evening's St. Anne Unit District #24 Board of Education meeting will be held at St. Anne Community High School in the Student Center starting at 6:00 PM.
St. Anne Schools recently received a generous donation from the Let’s Ketchup Organization. Let’s Ketchup works to ensure students and families have the support and resources they need to flourish in the classroom and beyond.
The food and clothing items provided will be distributed directly to students and families. Look for more information at our upcoming Parent/Teacher Conferences.

5th graders have been working hard on their 1st quarter book projects. They each chose their own book to read throughout the quarter and then completed this assignment. They did a paper bag book report which included them decorating each side of the bag with a story element like setting, characters, etc. Inside of the bags, students included four items that were related to their story in some way.

Mrs. Arthur's Kindergarten class and Mrs. Goodrich's 5th grade class did a STEM project together after learning about Christopher Columbus. They were trying to build boats that would float.
